My Story

About Me

Corinne Horvath

metalsmith, musician, arts administrator

As a child, I was always looking for the next best project and could fill all of my free time sitting at the kitchen table crafting. When I discovered a bead store in my area, it was over for my parents! I wanted to go every week to take classes and check out the new beads and baubles constantly flooding the walls. We practically became regulars overnight! But as we all know, new projects meant I needed money to pay for supplies. Fast forward a few years and I had a job at the bead store teaching classes, making jewelry and assisting customers with their latest jewelry projects.

Jewelry-making has always been a passion of mine, but when I moved away to college I found myself spending less and less time creating new pieces. I stopped wearing my creations and stashed it all away in a jewelry box. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in music and moved across the country to pursue my master’s degree.

Once I completed that, I quickly began my journey toward a doctorate. It was during the summer after my first year as a doctoral student that I rediscovered my love for jewelry-making. As a musician and administrator, my career already involved quite a bit of creativity. But I soon realized that making jewelry was a way to be creative in an entirely different way. It was the creative outlet I needed during a time I was feeling burnt out and frustrated with school. I set up shop in my office and pulled out all of my old supplies and tools. The excitement of making again was overwhelming and I felt incredibly inspired to reignite my passion. A friend of mine hosted a jewelry party for me at her house later that summer and it was a huge success.

In December of 2019, I officially launched my small business!  My friends and family have been so supportive throughout this journey and I am so excited to share my passion with you. I try my best to make each jewelry piece unique and individualized because after all, we’re all a little different.

Thank you so much for supporting my shop!

XO Corinne
